Community Cupboard
Type of service: Emergency Food
What they do: The community cupboard is located inside the front lobby. Staple pantry items are stocked weekly by Midwest Youth Services. Located inside Morgan County Housing Authority Building. A project created by Rotary Club of Jacksonville and maintained by Midwest Youth Services.
Who is eligible? There are no income guidelines, applications, or verification. If you are hungry and in need, please take what you need.

What they do: Provide transitional housing, permanent supportive hosing, scattered site housing. Rent/first month’s deposit support. Long term housing, we pay rent.

Salvation Army
Type of service: Supplemental Food Assistance, Emergency Needs Assistance, Transitional Shelter, Homeless IDs, Clothing and Personal Needs Vouchers.
What they do: Emergency assistance with water, power, and rent. Daily lunch program open to all. Client choice food pantry to supplement grocery needs offered once every four weeks per household. Clothing and personal needs vouchers. Homeless IDs.
Who is eligible? Residents of Morgan County only. Eligibility requirements for assistance programs vary, call for more information.

Best way to access services: Appointments are required for emergency needs assistance, vouchers, and shelter. Call or stop in the office to make an appointment. Client choice food pantry is walk in only and can be utilized once every four weeks per household.

Matthew 25 Thrift Shop
Type of service: Clothing assistance, Loads of Love Laundry Services, shower services, and salon
What they do: Provide store vouchers for clothing and shoes through several agencies in Jacksonville, Matthew 25 Mobile Salon provides free haircuts to houseless. Mobile shower unit (two showers). Adding more outreaches soon.
Provides free clothing vouchers through the Salvation Army. Also provides laundry services (sponsored by Go Church)
